Great interviews and insightful commentary need more exposure. There are a lot of amazing blogs out there, large and small, that interview interesting people or discuss important topics (politics, business, and others). The Compendium of Conversation is a way to highlight some of the best work from around the blogosphere.
The Compendium of Conversation is a weekly blog carnival that highlights posts featuring interviews or commentary (in text, audio or video).
Compendium [kuhm-pen-dee-uhm]:
1. a brief treatment or account of a subject, esp. an extensive subject; concise treatise: a compendium of medicine.
2. a summary, epitome, or abridgment.
3. a full list or inventory: a compendium of their complaints.
4. a list or collection of various items. [from Dictionary.com]
Submission Rules:
Please follow these rules when submitting your post to the Compendium of Conversation. Hosts may reject submissions outright if you don’t follow these simple rules.
- Your post must be an interview (text, audio or video). After all, that is the focus of the Compendium.
- Your post must be recent – within 2 weeks of the submission deadline. If the deadline is on the 15th then your post cannot be posted earlier than the 1st of the month.
- Your post must not be submitted to any other blog carnival. We do not want duplicate content.
- Your post must not be a paid (advertisement) blog post, overly commercial or poorly written.
- Only one submission per blog/site, per edition of the Compendium.
If your submission is accepted into the Compendium, please link to it within 2 weeks.
Link Back Tips:
- A mention at the bottom of the interview you submitted. “Thank you to for including this interview in this week’s edition of the [a href="insert compendium host's URL"]Compendium of Conversation[/a].”
- If you write weekly roundups or have a section for your blog news, include a mention in there with a link.
